When the pope dies, his ring (called the Fisherman’s Ring) is removed and destroyed

Tale

When Cardinal Lawrence is tasked with presiding over one of the world’s most secretive and ancient events – the election of a new pope – he finds himself at the center of a conspiracy that could shake the very foundations of the Catholic Church. The actions of Cardinal Lawrence and the other cardinals during the film’s conclave are true and accurate to the Catholic faith and centuries of tradition. The Vatican officially declares the throne of the Holy See (the governing body of the Catholic Church) vacant. The papal apartment is sealed with a crimson ribbon and sealed with the papal wax seal. The College of Cardinals resides in the apartments (Domus Sanctae Marthae, Saint Martha’s House) to eat and sleep between votes. Finally, the windows and doors of the Sistine Chapel, where the actual elections take place and the votes are cast, are blacked out, closed, and locked to preserve the secrecy of the conclave.

And therefore faith is not needed

Allende is believed to be the first African pope. The Roman Catholic Church has had three African popes: Victor the First (189-199 AD), Miltiades (also known as Melchiades, 311-314 AD), and Gelasius the First (492-496 AD). Lawrence: Our faith is a living being precisely because it walks hand in hand with doubt. If there were only certainty and no doubt, there would be no mystery. Let us pray that God will give us a pope who doubts. And may he give us a pope who sins, apologizes, and moves on.

And nowa movie for adults

Aired on The 7PM Project: Episode dated December 10, 2024 (2024). Allegri: Miserere Performed by Capella Musicale Pontificia Sistina, Massimo Palombella by permission of Deutsche Grammophon GMBH under license from Universal Music Operations Ltd. Based on Robert Harris’s 2016 novel CONCLAVE takes viewers to the Vatican through the College of Cardinals’ process of electing a new pope…full of political infighting, twists and turns, and surprises. And…if the average age of the people in the theater I attended was any indication…"Adults" Directed by Edward Berger (All Quiet on the Western Front), CONCLAVE moves forward with a mystery – not a “whodunnit”; but rather a “who gets what” – and it gets surprisingly tense. This is partly due to the great, great cast in this film. Ralph Fiennes (Voldemort in the HARRY POTTER films) anchors the proceedings as "Dean" of the Cardinals, tasked with leading a disparate group of cardinals to reach a consensus on the next pope.

He acts as a detective’s assistant, struggling with his own conscience

and ambition… while uncovering the schemes and machinations of some of the “humble servants.” John Lithgow, Isabella Rossellini, and many others (mostly unknown) who are vying for “pole position” in the race to be the next pope can help. Special mention goes to the GREAT Stanley Tucci, who supports him as the one challenger whose platform seems to be “I don’t want it.” but who really wants it underneath, don’t be surprised if both Fiennes and Tucci (and director Berger) get Oscar nominations (they’re that good). As mentioned above, this movie has a lot of twists and turns, and it’s fun to be moved by those twists and turns, but honestly, I felt like this movie went “one turn too far”. and it should have ended/could have ended 10 minutes before it did (except for the final twist). Some would say that this final twist is the crux of the movie, but…

Be the judge

I could have done without that thing. and join the other "adults" in the movie theater.
